We can always use more line-dancin’ tunes. Brooke Eden throws her cowgirl hat into the ring with her new song “Giddy Up!,” a song ripe for summer fun. “I don’t care where you come from / Just listen to the sound of the kick drum,” she entices the listener onto the dance floor. The percussion bursts open, and you can’t help but bob your head.

By the time the chorus hits the eardrums, “Giddy Up!” electrifies with queer joy. “Bring that outlaw attitude / You’ll find the boot scoot in the way you move,” she sings. “Settle on in when you saddle up / Go left, right, left, right, step, giddy up.” Eden doesn’t get enough credit for being unapologetically herself in the modern country music space.

“Line dancing has always been a place of belonging for me. I grew up performing in my dad’s line dancing band, and the community and joy of those nights inspired my new song,” Eden says in a press statement. “I wanted to create a song that brought the queer and the line dancing communities together, no matter who you are or where you’re from, to move, connect, and celebrate.”
