Need a song just to get away? Well, Lucas Hoge has you covered. With his just-released “Fruity Drink,” the tropical breeze blows his problems away. “This could be paradise,” he sings. The melody gets the body moving, as the palm trees sway and the sun hangs high in the sky. “We’ve got the beach to ourselves tonight,” he adds.
“Get ready to sip on summer vibes with my new single,” Hoge says in a press statement. “I can’t wait
for you all to enjoy the fun and sunshine while listening to this song!” Well, he’s certainly right. “Fruity Drink” transports you from the mundane everyday life to an island somewhere in your imagination.
“Fruity Drink” follows “Farmhand” from earlier this year. Both tracks prepare the listener for Hoge’s new album, Book About Me, out everywhere on July 11.
