“Bar None” — Jordan Davis

Jordan Davis is on a path to notch his 9th career hit with his latest single, “Bar None.” Featuring a finger-snapping melody with well-thought-out transitions and infectious strumming, “Bar None” finds Davis feeling left in the dust following a relationship that ended. Instead of moving on, the singer/songwriter is fixated on the breakup and relies on alcohol to get him through.

Bar, none / Now I’m gettin’ goner than your long-gone boots / Nothin’ I’m workin’ on works on you / I’ve been breakin’ every bottle open / Doin’ what a banged up, broken heart does,” Davis croons throughout the chorus of the song. “Gonna need three or four more / Baby, if a movin’ on had a scoreboard / It’d say, “You and your memory, one / Me and this bar, none.”

“Bar, None” is the latest instant grat track from Davis’ highly-anticipated next album. The tune, written by Hunter Phelps, Lydia Vaughn, and Ben Johns and produced by Paul DiGiovanni comes as Davis prepares to hit the road for his Ain’t Enough Road Tour, kicking off Sept. 11.

“Household” —  Lauren Alaina

Lauren Alaina’s relationship with her husband Cam Arnold is undoubtedly the picture of a loving marriage. But, the country singer’s latest track is anything but. Alaina, who is expecting her first child with her sweet husband, has released a brand new song called “Household,” and it tells the story of a romance on the rocks with a couple who fights, drinks, and sweeps secrets under the rug. Written alongside Casey Brown, Lydia Vaughan, and Parker Welling, “Household” isn’t necessarily a sad song. The latest track from Alaina following “Those Kind Of Women,” showcases her spunk and fierce attitude over a catchy melody that will have listeners dancing and singing along with every lyric.

“’Household’ is the perfect blend of southern grit and sass,” Alaina shared in a statement. “We have all been in a ‘how much hell can household’ scenario. I wrote this song after listening to one of my best friends vent about her relationship. It may not reflect my own marriage, but I think it showcases my personality flawlessly.”

“Daddy’s Mugshot” — Laci Kaye Booth

Laci Kaye Booth’s new song “Daddy’s Mugshot” is her first taste of new music since the release of 2024’s The Loneliest Girl In The World and its companion Acoustic Sessions. The tune finds the singer/songwriter and impressive vocalist weaving together lyrics that put masterful country storytelling front and center.

“Daddy’s Mugshot,” inspired by Booth’s real-life struggles and her dad’s mugshot, which circulated online, finds her admitting that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. In the Ben West-produced track, she showcases her whispering, breathy vocals over a haunting acoustic melody, and pulls from her experiences of navigating the music scene.

She sings: “Now I’m a little too Texas for Tennessee / I smiled in the picture/ But I was grittin’ my teeth/ They found bitter in my bones/ When they broke this show pony/ Said I’d be a star/ Hell, they don’t even know me/ What runs in the blood/ Ain’t ever gonna stop/ I might look like my mama/ But I smile like my daddy’s mugshot.”

Booth has plenty to be excited about. Not only is she sharing new music, but she also recently made her Grand Ole Opry debut in Nashville, Tenn.

“California Fit In Tennessee” — Tayler Holder

Tayler Holder, a TikTok music sensation who has earned the title of the most-followed country singer on the platform, has released his latest track, “California Fit In Tennessee.” The tune, which follows catchy songs like “Dyin’ Flame” and “Nothin’ But Neon” captures the heartbreak of a miles-apart relationship that didn’t survive the distance. In the stripped-down track, Holder looks back with a sense of regret and the acknowledgment that if things were different the romance would’ve lasted forever.

“I wouldn’t be looking through a smoke cloud / Thinking ’bout you right now, wondering if you’re thinking ’bout me / You wouldn’t be living in that dream house / That one we talked about getting when I got you that ring / Damn, if four good years got me fighting back tears / Guess your roots in the sand just ran too deep / Now you ain’t in my arms like I knew you would be / If California fit in Tennessee, yeah / Fit in Tennessee, yeah,” Holder croons.

“I wrote this song before moving to Nashville, reflecting on a love I thought would last forever,” Holder said of the song, according to CountryMusicNewsInternational.com. “Looking back, I see why it didn’t work out—because life had something even more beautiful in store. It’s a perspective on what could have been if she had come with me if California had ever fit into Tennessee.”

“Confident Soul” — MAYCE

MAYCE has released her gut-wrenching track, “Confident Soul.” Through vivid lyrics and a somber melody, the tune leaves listeners feeling the sting of a messy situation. In under three minutes, MAYCE unpacks some raw emotions as she sings about a breakup and how the loss of a relationship has caused her to pick up bad habits from smoking to drinking.

Now I’m face down in the bathroom / And I’m thinking back to when I had you / Put a smile on till the curtains close / It’ll be the first year since last May / That you didn’t wish me happy birthday,” MAYCE sings. “And I’m falling back into the hole I know you mean well / But I’m going through hell / And I’m trying to pick up the pieces that fell / From my confident soul / Where did I go?”

“I wrote this one with a glass of Pinot and a heavy heart,” MAYCE shares via a Facebook post. While the tune, which includes ear-grabbing harmonica, picking banjos, and stunning harmonies is deeply personal to her, folks will find the message both captivating and relatable.

“Lonely” — Chris Andreucci

Chris Andreucci offers a new take on moving on from a breakup in his latest track, entitled “Lonely.” Written alongside Bryce Mauldin, Seth Michael, and Kim Penz, the song follows “Tamed by Tennessee,” a collaboration with Callum Kerr.

“Lonely” is a breezy tune that features an arena-ready country sound. In the track, Andreucci tackles the story of exiting from a relationship on a high note without having to deal with the pain of letting go. Instead of reeling over what didn’t last, Andreucci feels a sense of freedom in the aftermath of a breakup, singing, “Lonely shouldn’t feel like a boat on the water, diggin’ in a cooler, cold beer in my hand / Lonely shouldn’t feel like a weight off my shoulder / Living out a life without her wasn’t in my plan / But ever since she left, I’m doing things I never thought I could / Lonely never felt so good.”

Speaking about the song in a press release, the Scotland-bred, Nashville-based artist shared, “My new single “Lonely” kicks off a new chapter for me and my music. It’s the perfect anthem for anyone who’s turned a new page after a breakup. It’s a celebration of the freedom that comes with endings because every goodbye opens the door to a fresh, exciting beginning. Embrace the new journey – you just never know what might happen!”
