Zac Brown Band shares one of their most incisively honest songs to date. “I Ain’t Worried About It” falls in line with their Jimmy Buffett swagger but with harder-hitting lyrics. “People keep trying to tell me how to live, and I’m just over here, runnin’ out of f***s to give,” the frontman sings, shrugging his shoulders. The pressures of life and career slide away, and he’s just here to have a good time and throw back a few whiskeys.
ZBB pushes the brakes on the negativity and offers some solace for trying times. “Ohh, this life is really whatever you make it,” sings Brown. “There’s so much good in the world for the taking / Just take a look at the sky up above / All that matters is love.” The groove gets the body shimmying, and images of sandy beaches and fruity drinks float into your head.
“This one’s for anyone who’s been through the fire and came out lighter,” Brown writes on Instagram. In a second post, he says, “This one’s for anyone choosing peace over panic. Hit play, turn it up, and let go of the rest. We’re living proof that everything’s gonna be alright, so tell us what’s something you’re not worried about these days?”
