If your Spotify Wrapped includes sad girl anthems, true crime podcasts, and Taylor Swift deep cuts, chances are you’ve already binge-watched Ginny & Georgia—twice. And if you haven’t? Well, buckle up, buttercup, because this show is what would happen if Gilmore Girls had a wild night out with Breaking Bad and left the baby at Netflix.

After a chef’s kiss Season 2 that gave us murder, mayhem, mental health crises, and a wedding interrupted by a SWAT team, Ginny & Georgia Season 3 is finally on the way. Here’s everything you need to know before Georgia gets her next mugshot and Ginny burns through more metaphors than a tortured indie songwriter.

Where is the Ginny & Georgia cast now?

When we last saw Georgia Miller (played with sultry Southern swagger by Brianne Howey), she was being hauled off mid-wedding for smothering a dying man with a pillow. And no, that is not an exaggeration. Her daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry) was left reeling, her new husband, Mayor Paul (Scott Porter), was stunned at the altar, and her son, Austin (Diesel La Torraca), witnessed the whole pillow situation and is now basically a nine-year-old with a dark secret and a Harry Potter wand.

The rest of the town of Wellsbury is still dealing with the emotional fallout from Season 2. Marcus (Felix Mallard) broke things off with Ginny due to his depression, Maxine (Sara Waisglass) is still making narcissism look oddly endearing, and Joe (Raymond Ablack) might still be holding a torch for Georgia—despite that whole “you’re arrested for murder” thing.

Everyone’s back for Season 3, including Jennifer Robertson as neighbor Ellen, Katie Douglas as the insecure and hilarious Abby, Chelsea Clark as Norah, and Nathan Mitchell as Ginny’s dad Zion. New cast members include Ty Doran (from Manifest) as Wolfe, a poetry classmate of Ginny’s who hates poetry—relatable—and Noah Lamanna as a skater dude/tutor with ties to Marcus and Silver.

When does Ginny & Georgia Season 3 premiere?

Netflix has announced that Ginny & Georgia Season 3 drops on June 5, 2025, just in time for your early summer binge. The third season will feature ten episodes and based on the cheeky titles (looking at you, “Beep Beep Freaking Beep”), it’s clear we’re in for another rollercoaster of trauma and tea.

Some episode titles to keep your eyes peeled for:

  • “This Wouldn’t Be A Podcast”
  • “The Bitch Is Back”
  • “At Least It Can’t Get Worse”
  • “Monsters”

Spoiler alert: It can always get worse in Wellsbury.

What happened in Season 2 again?

Let’s rewind. Season 2 of Ginny & Georgia saw the return of Georgia’s abusive ex Gil, who decided fatherhood was suddenly a vibe—mainly because he wanted to get back at Georgia. He showed up demanding custody of Austin and money. Georgia, being Georgia, handled it in the least legally sound way possible: manipulation and threats.

Meanwhile, Ginny was self-harming, dealing with racism at school, navigating a confusing relationship with Marcus, and finally starting therapy. Marcus, struggling with his own depression, ended things with her—and somehow we all felt like the heartbreak was ours.

The season ended with Georgia killing a man (again), this time by smothering Cynthia Fuller’s dying husband Tom. Austin saw the whole thing, said nothing (because trauma is his love language now), and Georgia got arrested during her wedding reception. You know, normal teen dramedy stuff.

What will Ginny & Georgia Season 3 be about?

Season 3 will likely open with Georgia navigating jail time, lawyer fees, and the fallout of being the bride in cuffs. Ginny’s still reeling from the breakup, the arrest, and her own mental health journey. And Austin? He’s probably doing magic spells and pretending everything’s fine while planning a future therapy session.

Don’t forget the love triangle—or is it a square at this point?—involving Paul, Joe, and Zion. Georgia’s heart is basically a ping-pong match between her husband, her ex, and the guy who serves her lattes. The Joe situation might finally get addressed, and with Wolfe entering Ginny’s world, expect some poetic chaos to follow.

Who’s behind the scenes this season?

There’s a bit of a baton-passing happening backstage. Series creator Sarah Lampert is still involved, but the showrunner reins have shifted from Debra J. Fisher to Sara Glinski, who will steer both Seasons 3 and 4. Lampert and Glinski will serve as the primary writers, with producing credits shared among Critical Content, Blue Ice Pictures, and Dynamic Television.

The creative team has made it clear that the tone of the series won’t stray far from its signature mix of lighthearted chaos meets dark secrets. And with a fourth season already confirmed, there’s plenty more dysfunction where this came from.

Will there be a Season 4?

Yes! Netflix gave Ginny & Georgia the rare double renewal treatment, so even before Season 3 hits your screen, know that Season 4 is already in the works. The writers’ room has been active since early 2025, meaning there’s even more drama, heartbreak, and slow-burn reveals on the horizon.

If you’re into emotionally fraught family dynamics, morally ambiguous mothers, and teen angst with a killer soundtrack (literally), Ginny & Georgia Season 3 is about to become your next obsession. June 5 can’t come fast enough.

Now go rewatch Season 2. You know you want to.
