As January draws to a close, the excitement of a fresh year is far from fading. For artists across the music industry, 2025 is shaping up to be a year of creativity, growth, and bold moves. The initial buzz of New Year’s resolutions may have settled, but the drive to achieve new milestones is still going strong.
From Vincent Mason’s new year kickoff to Madison Olivia’s upcoming projects, musicians and aritsts are diving headfirst into their goals with unstoppable energy. It’s not just about fresh releases—it’s about reshaping their sound, connecting with audiences in new ways, and pushing boundaries.
Even as the first month of 2025 wraps up, the stage is set for a year of thriving ambition and unforgettable moments. The goals may have been made in January, but the momentum will carry through all year long.

2025 is all about simplifying my days. I want to focus more on enjoying the process and not thinking so much about the results. But my biggest goal is to really narrow my focus on what matters most and let everything take care of itself.

- To ask for fewer opinions. I’ve always valued seeking advice and learning from those around me, and I truly believe the biggest and best way to grow (as both a person and an artist) is by surrounding yourself with people you can learn from in any regard. However, I think as a young artist with that mindset, I’ve made a habit of seeking opinions on my music or different aspects of the business when it’s not always necessary. Sometimes there are so many voices involved that I let certain things I fully believe in turn into something entirely different. I think following your own instinct is just as important as asking for advice.
- Release as much music as I can. I tend to overthink and get caught up in all of the planning that goes into releasing the song. The perfectionist in me naturally wants to have it all lined up and figured out months in advance, however some of my favorite releases have actually been the ones when I’ve had the least time to prepare. This year I want to release any and every song I can, whether or not there’s a release plan in place or an ideal date to go along with it.
- Take myself out of the equation. I’d say the hardest part about being an artist is all of the self-promotion you have to do. It’s a place where my insecurities often still win, despite my efforts. In the past, I’ve hated looking back and realizing I let my fear of other people’s perception inhibit my ability to share something I love so much. In 2025 I want to take myself out of the equation, and simply let the music be the only thing I’m worried about when it comes to being online.

- Live more analog: More face to face with friends. more one-take performances on records. more real instruments on tracks.
- Live more present: Keep the stories for the songs. stop living inside narratives that confine life, start inhabiting the moments we’re gifted every day.
- Live more connected: Find new ways of engaging in two-way conversations with the community around our music.
- Write more songs on my typewriter: I can’t fit a real piano in my apartment. But a typewriter is almost the next best thing. Excited to see what comes out of that.
- Take care of the instrument: I really believe writer’s block comes from some kind of clog in our conduit, our selves. So meditation. Yoga. Eating well. Exercise. Sleep. Clear out the vessel.
- Finish the record: We spent most of last year writing, demoing, and producing our next album. We’re in the finishing stages now, going through the songs one by one. We want to make that happen in 2025.

“2025 is all about pushing boundaries and leveling up for me. I’m gearing up for an exciting year with major plans, including hitting South by Southwest and exploring new opportunities in fashion and fitness. I’m diving deeper into creating content that inspires and connects, with a special focus on incorporating my fitness journey into my work. This year is all about growth, creativity, and showing up stronger than ever.”

My 2025 artist resolution: journaling in the morning. I’m borrowing this one from the book, “ARTISTS Way,” but making my own spin on it! I really love the idea of unfiltered, stream of consciousness written to allow the mind to empty. Then, there is room for creativity allow to flow through! I think something really important for me this year is my flexibility with consistency as well. Bouncing between Art fares, and all of the travel involved means that sometimes it will be hard to stay consistent, and I’m also allowing myself to be OK taking breaks from this journaling practice.

“My main goals for 2025 are all about balance and growth. I’m focusing on staying consistent with my fitness routine—I’ve been loving my time on the Peloton lately, and it’s been such a great way to stay grounded while on the go. Musically, I’m excited to release new music and keep pushing myself creatively. I’m also looking forward to playing more shows, seeing new places, and connecting with incredible people along the way. 2025 is all about staying healthy, inspired, and connected!”

My New Year’s resolutions for 2025 are simple: tour like crazy and drop some brand-new tunes that’ll (hopefully) make you feel all the feels! Whether it’s singing my heart out on stage or locking myself in the studio with too much coffee and a head full of ideas, I’m ready to make this year the best one yet. Let’s make 2025 the year of road trips, singalongs, and maybe even a song or two that ends up stuck in your head forever—sorry, not sorry!

For 2025, my New Year’s resolution is all about growth, connection, and embracing the surreal experience of being Nashville-based. Moving here has been a dream come true. There’s something about the city—the energy, the creativity, the constant buzz of inspiration—it fires me up! It feels surreal to be living in a place where music is woven into every corner of daily life. This year, I’m fully committed to becoming the best version of myself as a songwriter, guitarist, and singer. I want to dive deeper into the craft, pushing my limits and creating more songs that speak to the heart. But I also want to connect with as many people as possible through my music, whether that’s by playing live, collaborating, or simply sharing my story. Nashville has opened doors I never thought would be possible, and every day I’m in awe of the opportunities around me. I’m pumped to get at it!
