The 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) are shaping up to be one of the most unforgettable nights in music. Today, it was announced that global icons Coldplay will make their highly anticipated BBMAs performance debut. The multi-platinum band will perform new music from their chart-topping album Moon Music, live from their sold-out Music of the Spheres tour in Australia. This year, Coldplay is a finalist for “Top Duo/Group” and “Top Rock Touring Artist,” continuing their legacy as one of the most influential bands of their time.

This year’s lineup promises an extraordinary showcase of talent. SEVENTEEN, the “Top K-Pop Touring Artist” finalist, will perform their hit song “LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled)” in a visually stunning set spanning iconic locations in Los Angeles, including the Santa Monica Pier and Downtown LA. The group’s album SPILL THE FEELS has solidified their place as global superstars, earning multiple top chart placements.

Teddy Swims will deliver an emotional and powerful performance, featuring his first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit, “Lose Control,” and his latest single, “Bad Dreams.” Teddy Swims, who is up for eight awards, including “Top New Artist” and “Top Hot 100 Song,” has become a genre-defying sensation, breaking records with his soulful sound.

Tyla will bring her unique blend of Afrobeats and R&B to the BBMAs with an Amapiano party performance from a London pub, accompanied by Optimist Music ZA and choreography by Tanisha Scott. Tyla’s breakout hit “Water” has dominated the charts, spending over a year at No. 1 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and becoming a fan favorite worldwide.

The evening will be hosted by actress and comedian Michelle Buteau, who promises to bring humor and energy to the live broadcast on Thursday, December 12, at 8 PM ET/PT. The BBMAs will air on FOX, Fire TV Channels, and Paramount+, with additional performances and exclusive content available on Billboard.com and social media channels.

The show will honor the year’s top artists, albums, and songs, with leading nominees including Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, and Sabrina Carpenter. It will also feature first-time nominees such as Shaboozey, Benson Boone, and Tommy Richman, showcasing a mix of established superstars and rising talent.
